I attended linwood lane school from 51-55 , my brother was also there nine years after me, I've picked up with some classmates from southfields, newry and linwood on friends reunited. from 1947 - 1955 interesting site if you haven't tried it.

I remember greenside place , i left the saff in 54 and we moved to the monsell along with many others at that time ,big mistake as far as i was concerned and things were never the same as on the saff.

1965 to 1970 Linwood Boys and they had an Old big valve computer outside of one of the classrooms. Everyone that did the computing course got a pass as it was the first time computing was done. I'd love to know the name of the teacher that took that class!

I lived on the ElstonFields, played Rugby for Liwood and three times for Leicestershire Boy's rugby team. I was also a Prefect at Linwood in 1953/54.

Hello if there is anybody out there I am attempting to write a book and include my time at Linwood Boys school. Attended between 1962 to around 1967 five years. I am now 69 and would love to gather more detailed information than my brain holds. Trevor Rhodes...with older brother Tony Dusty Rhodes...now gone to a better place. Thanks

Glad to hear you are still alive!
Knew you through our time at Linwood. Sounds like a worthy project.
Returning soon to UK from oz, wouldn't mind collaborating with your project on Linwood.
